Top Five Reasons to Attend the Reimagined 2021 Life of a Transformer Seminar
Some things have changed since last year’s Life of a Transformer™ Seminar. The impact of the global pandemic has many of us travelling less, working from home and keeping our social circles small. In response to these changes, we have reimagined this year’s seminar as a virtual event to ensure attendees can still access the training needed to meet the challenges of 2021 while maintaining their day-to-day obligations in the “new normal.” While the format may be different this year, the 2021 Life of a Transformer Seminar is still the power industry’s premier event for cradle-to-grave transformer training.
The virtual format builds on the success of nearly 20 years of in-person seminars and provides attendees the opportunity to create a custom learning experience and attend training based on their individual schedules. We think there are many reasons to attend the Life of a Transformer seminar this year, but here are our top five.
# 1. Attend sessions when it’s convenient for you.
Our new virtual format makes it easy for anyone to attend regardless of location. The agenda combines live, concurrent sessions with on-demand recorded sessions. Whether you are based on the East or West Coast of the United States, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East or Asia Pacific, find the training you want on your schedule. If you find yourself in need of a refresher on any of the courses after the seminar, you can conveniently access the recordings up to 90 days after the event.
# 2. Choose from more than 80+ hours of high-quality transformer training.
The Life of a Transformer Seminar offers a variety of learning paths regardless of your level of experience in the industry. Our Professional Program provides a foundation of training that covers everything from transformer design and construction, major components to field testing and end-of-life management. Advanced Sessions for experienced professionals focus on specific topics such as photovoltaic applications, blast containment and design considerations for wind applications. Programs dedicated to Relay Protection, Transformer Maintenance and the use of Laboratory Diagnostics for Condition Assessment ensure you get the knowledge needed to meet your unique learning objectives.
#3. Learn from the best in the industry.
Each year we invite leaders across the power and utility industry to share their knowledge and expertise with attendees. Our “Ask the Expert” interactive sessions give you the chance to get unbiased answers to your most pressing questions. Learn from peers in panel discussions on diverse topics – from bushings, to condition monitoring best practices to asset health and risk management. Real-world case studies illuminate hands-on application of training and offer additional learning opportunities.
#4. Prepare for 2021 and beyond.
The global pandemic and the restrictions it has imposed on the industry won’t last forever. The Life of a Transformer Seminar gives those new to the industry a chance to learn the fundamentals of transformer manufacturing and design and key components. Veterans can prepare for the future by learning about emerging topics such as transformer lifecycle management for windfarms and robotic internal transformer inspections. A virtual industry exhibition provides an opportunity for networking and informal learning with leading transformer manufacturers and service providers.
#5. Access to affordable training for the entire industry.
Doble has been working hard to ensure that the power and utility industry remains connected and engaged during this time. We are offering reduced rates for the 2021 Life of a Transformer Seminar and additional discounts are available for clients with a Doble Service Agreement (DSA).
