V5.3.2 supports F8200 & F8300 instruments which include source, network configuration, and timing option support. The release contains many F6 and F8 enhancements and corrections. This release of Protection Suite software product is 100% backward compatible with PSX files from previous versions and gives customers new test functions and increased automation going forward. Protection Suite Admin Database 5.2.0
The Protection Suite Admin Database (PS Admin DB) database management system allows for storage of Protection Suite data files (.psx) in a server-based central storage location. Protection Suite 4.4.3
This is the final release of the 4-series of Protection Suite.
Doble Protection Suite software is a complete, no-compromise, protection testing solution for running manual and automated tests for protection-scheme verification.
It is the most recent release for Protection Suite software and it comes in a number of levels depending on your organization’s testing and reporting needs. More information about this release can be found in the release note and the product page.
NOTE: All previous installations of Protection Suite from 4.1.0 to 4.4.2 do not require a new activation key if a license key for version 4.1.0 or greater is already installed. However for enabling PowerBase Lite or PowerBase Field, new activation keys will be required.
PowerBase Field installation package for PowerBase users requiring connectivity to Protection Suite v4.4.3 can be downloaded from here.
The latest F6 firmware packages available on our website are recommended with this software release.
Protection Suite software is administered through Doble’s License Server. You do not need a password to unzip the file, but will need an activation key to use the software after installation. F6880 Digital Network Analyzer (DNA) Software
This software, for use with the F6880 Digital Network Analyzer (DNA), compares the SCL file to live networks. The F6880 monitors for anomalies like delay, network performance issues, loss-packets, harmonics, and can capture and record system events in COMTRADE or PCAP formats — analyzing, viewing digital network processes and signals for IEC 61850 testing.
It can also subscribe to Sampled Values, GOOSE, R-GOOSE for troubleshooting purposes and can be used with triggers to capture data for identifying network performance issues, duplicate devices, missing devices — all related to a digital substation.

F6080 for F2 instrument software with calibration unit permits the field calibration of F2151, 2, or 3 and F2251, 2, or 3 Power System Simulators (F2 Requirements Chart below). F6 Multiple Amplifier Configurator v5.0.1
F6 Multiple Amplifier Configurator is software for configuring and controlling several F6 amplifiers (F6350/e and F6300/e). The software is hosted on one computer and can control/configure up to 16 amplifiers. Configuration of amplifiers is required to enable correct amplification of the low level signals that are provided by a host simulator. The amplified signal must be of the correct magnitude, based on conversion factors that are selected as part of the configuration process. More information about this software can be found in the release note.
The configuration software configures both the AC analog outputs of the amplifiers and also the battery output of the F6350s. This software can run on both Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems.

61850TesT v3.1.5
61850TesT software, in conjunction with Doble’s F6150sv power simulator and protection software, tests intelligent electronic devices (IED) and protection and automation systems that are based on IEC 61850 standards.

61850TesT software is available in two versions: Basic and Professional. Basic version is included with the purchase of the F6860 instrument option in F6150sv. Professional version can be purchased through your local Doble representative.

F6 CPU4 FPGA
This is the latest FPGA package for CPU4. The package includes an installer for users running Protection Suite 5.2.0 or below. Versions of Protection Suite 5.2.4 or greater will already have the installer as part of the program and only need to apply the FPGA package through Protection Suite. If utilizing versions of Protection Suite less than 5.2.4, use the installer package enclosed to apply the FPGA upgrade.

Note: Firmware version 5.8.2 is required to support all new features in Protection Suite for CPU3 instruments. In future releases, F6 CPU3 updates will be continued in series version 6 of the firmware.
F6 CPU3 Firmware version 5.8.2 is intended for all versions of F6150sv, F6150e, F6350e, F6300e, and is also compatible with F6150 CPU3 instruments.
New enhancements include resetting GPS Trimble antenna to factory defaults along with bug fixes. Please refer to Release notes for additional details.

F6 CPU1 Firmware 2.23
F6000 firmware, version 2.23 corrects problems with the earlier versions and adds new features. Firmware version 2.23 supports the CPU1 F6000 instruments. The CPU1 instruments contain a 10Base2 BNC Ethernet connector.
Software QA testing has been performed, per Doble Engineering ISO 9001 procedures. F6000 firmware version 2.23 are recommended for the following Doble software revisions:
- ProTesT Version 2.06 or higher
- F6TesT Version 2.18 or higher
- F6MeterControlPanel Version 2.10 or higher
- Transwin Version 2.05 or higher
- F6000 Control Panel Version 2.0 or higher
Please note that earlier software versions may have compatibility issues and some features may not function properly.
The zip file contains a copy of the Marketing Release notice and 3 firmware files. One for the F6150 and F6150A instruments labeled “F6150.pkg”. A second for the F6300 instruments labeled “F6300.pkg”. A third for F6150 instruments with specially modified Analog Input Boards labeled “F6350.pkg”. The CPU1 firmware files do not contain the CPU type in the name.
A list of known limitations is included in the release notice. Please take time to review it.

Windows 7/8/8.1/10 – USB Driver for the Updated F6150 (CPU2 and CPU3) Front Panel
Recent F6150 Power System Simulators have a front-panel layout with three Ethernet ports and one USB B serial port. (Earlier F6150 instruments had one Ethernet port and one RS-232 serial port)
The USB B port on the F6150 provides serial communication without using an external USB-to-RS-232 adapter. The USB B port on the F6150 operates after you load the driver, available at the link, below.
Doble provides the USB type A-to-B cable for communicating via USB with the newer F6150 instruments. Do not insert this cable into your computer until after you have completed the driver installation, below.

Select the download link “Download VCP (5.3 MB)” under the “Download for Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (v6.7.5)” section. If you cannot see a link in the Software column, check with your IT department or contact Doble Engineering.
Extract (unzip) the file on your computer to view the two installer applications, _x86.exe (32-bit operating systems—Windows 7 and older) and _x64.exe (64-bit operating systems—Windows 7 and newer). Select the appropriate installer and right click on the file name to “Run as administrator.”
With the F6150 instrument powered, connect the USB cable. Open Device Manager and confirm that the instrument port is available.
