Doble Engineering Company Acquires ENOSERV
Industry Leaders in Testing Automation & Data Management Software Join Forces, Address Broader Scope of Customer Needs in the Face of New Regulatory Requirements
Watertown, MA, USA – January 28, 2015
Doble Engineering Company, a subsidiary of ESCO Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: ESE), announced today that it has acquired the assets of ENOSERV LLC. The acquisition positions Doble to more comprehensively meet the testing needs of electric power organizations facing changing regulatory, business and industry environments.
“ENOSERV is one of the first companies to bring a universal software platform for system protection testing to the electric power industry, and they have stayed consistently focused on delivering value through actionable data analytics and user-friendly solutions,” said David B. Zabetakis, president of Doble. “Together, we will build on this by creating additional resources that help the industry address new and emerging challenges, especially those related to regulatory compliance. We are excited to bring the ENOSERV team into the Doble family and we look forward to working together.”
The ENOSERV division of Doble and the existing business of Doble will maintain their respective core offerings and ENOVSERV’s vendor agnostic nature will remain intact. Doble’s product offerings will expand to new users as ENOSERV’s solutions, including its RTS and PowerBase software, are a natural complement to Doble’s existing suite of protection software and hardware solutions, including Protection Suite and the F-Series diagnostic test instruments. These comprehensive offerings will give customers the appropriate resources to facilitate compliance with new regulatory standards at all stages of adoption.
“ENOSERV’s primary goal has always been to provide electric power professionals with the industry’s most useable and reliable solutions as they work to maintain the assets of the electric power grid,” said Dennis Loudermilk, ENOSERV founder and president. “Our combined resources will empower utilities to ensure grid reliability and enhance the safe delivery of electric power. On behalf of the entire ENOSERV team, we’re thrilled to join the Doble community.”
“There’s a significant burden on electric power organizations as new regulations dictate how assets on the electric grid are tested and monitored,” said Don Angell, vice president of global strategy and solutions at Doble. “Doble recognizes that companies across the industry are in very different phases of adoption regarding these new regulations, and the path to implementation isn’t always linear. Now, Doble will be in a strong position to help our customers adjust and implement, regardless of where they fall on that spectrum.”
Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Tulsa, Okla., ENOSERV provides utility customers with high quality, user-friendly agnostic software. Mr. Loudermilk will continue to lead Doble’s ENOSERV Division as General Manager.
