Overview
This 4-hour virtual training is designed for technicians involved with the testing of protective relays. This training will discuss the theory of the overcurrent element of a microprocessor relay followed by a step-by-step procedure for testing all functions of this element. The test plan creation will be done using Doble testing software Protection Suite. In the process of creating the tests, an excellent overview of the testing software will also be included.
Course Outline
- A brief overview of relevant sections of Doble testing software Protection Suite.
- A brief overview of Doble test set F6150.
- Description and theory of the overcurrent element, and logic setup within the relay.
- Create tests for minimum pickup of time overcurrent, timing test, instantaneous pickup.
