Back in the Saddle: Life of a Transformer Seminar Is Back Better Than Ever
Here at Doble we are working hard to prepare for the 2023 Life of a Transformer Seminar in Fort Worth, Texas next month. While the last few Life of a Transformer Seminars were a bit different due to the pandemic, this year’s event is a much-needed return to normalcy for us all.
This year’s agenda – running the week of February 13-17 – is jam-packed with valuable information revolving around transformer lifecycle management with over 40 presenters representing all different aspects of the power industry. Everything from purchasing a transformer – including specifications, factory testing, design review – to installation, routine inspections, asset health, and load tap changers, finishing with failure investigations and decommissioning will be covered.
On Wednesday, we are offering a track focused on transformer protection with topics such as stator ground fault, sudden pressure relays, Bucholz relays, transformer connections, and more. Mid-week, you can delve into some more complicated topics in the Advanced Track including Understanding Transformer Equivalent Circuit Through Measurements presented by Doble’s own Mark Lachman.
It is not just classroom training though, once again we are offering the Heavy Equipment Showcase courtesy of Delta Star, Hitachi Energy, and Siemens Energy. Tour a load tap changing mobile substation, an onsite oil degasification and reclamation unit, and an oil processing rig. Meet the experts on-site and ask your pressing questions.
The best part of the seminar is definitely the networking – connect with your peers and the experts while enjoying food, drinks, and local music at the industry expo where you can find out more from transformer related vendors. Then on Wednesday evening, join us for the social event at the River Ranch to enjoy some classic Texas hospitality.
The discussion, knowledge sharing, and training that will take place during the seminar is invaluable. Review all the opportunities available during the week. If you have not had a chance to register yet, I highly recommend you do that now. Find out more at https://cvent.me/XDZW0o.
